The design of modern screw propellers has developed through a combination of science and experience. Through this process a number of popular propeller styles have evolved. Each has its own unique blade shape which is suitable for a specific application.

A propeller greatly affects the overall performance of a boat and it is very important that the proper one be installed. The most accurate and "safest" method of propeller selection involves the use of formulas and charts which take into consideration many different measurements and variables taken from your boat and present propulsion system.

Ordering Procedure

To ensure that we are able to find the right propeller for you, we ask that when ordering have as much of the following information ready as possible:

• Type of vessel (hull design and use)
• Size of vessel (waterline length, beam, draft, displacement)
• Shaft horsepower & r.p.m.
• Transmission reduction ratio & output rotation
• Maximum propeller diameter possible
• Present boat speed
• Present propeller (diameter, pitch, rotation)
