57 ft Coast Guard Excursion Yacht

This repatriated Reef class ex-Canadian Coast Guard vessel came to Lunenburg for modifications and painting system soon after new owners purchased her for cruising in Canada . The captain and owners had many ideas about how to modify the vessel for more comfort and an increased level of yacht finish.

Surface preparation and fairing of the hull as well as detailing of the superstructure and deck, prepared the vessel for the paint system that achieved the yacht finish the owners were looking for. A new swim platform was designed, fabricated and installed to allow safe and easy access to the transom door.

Aluminum and stainless fixtures were repaired, matched and polished to yacht finish. The teak cap rail was repaired by Lunenburg Foundry’s shipwrights and mechanical systems were checked. The windlass was overhauled and hydraulics upgraded. The vessel was sea trialed and ready for cruising along the east coast of Canada.
