45 ft Cape Island Excursion Yacht

After purchasing a sturdy Nova Scotia built Cape Islander style hull and yacht package in 1999, this owner wanter an upgrade to both structural and finishing details. After interpreting the owner’s vision for change, including 3D for visualization, Lunenburg Foundry’s engineers designed several major improvements.

Lunenburg Foundry’s shipwrights and local craftsmen constructed a new deckhouse extension This provided additional shelter, improved deck and interior access and safer passenger areas. The vessel’s lines were improved and lengthened as a result of the changes.

After modifications, hulls repairs and fairing procedures, a new Awlgrip paint system was applied as well as a color change chosen by the owner. New, improved stainless railings, and exterior stairwaays and ladders finished off the look. The vessel was ready for the ocean and her trip to Newfoundland.
