Listerville
CFAV Listerville is a Canadian Forces Auxiliary Vessel controlled by the Queens Harbour Master in Halifax. This vessel is used in Halifax by the Canadian Navy as a Yard tug. Repair and maintenance for this vessel is controlled by SNC Lavalin Defence Programs. This project was completed under shelter between June and August of 2006.
This mid-life refit included an engine overhaul, exterior vessel painting, wheel house deck replacement, valve removal and overhaul, a new de-mister heating system, installation of a new instrument panel, miscellaneous steel repairs, and a complete inspection of the propulsion system including the Kort nozzle.
The wheel house deck replacement consisted of stripping out the engine room deck head, wheelhouse interior and the existing steel deck. The deck was then replaced with new steel including parts of the wheelhouse coaming and steel frames. The wheelhouse interior was replaced with a new paneling, the deck was coated with dexotex, and new insulation was installed on the engine room deck head and int the forward accommodations. The de-mister system consisted of duct work, piping, fans, heating coils and blowers.

This project was completed as specified with the customer giving many favourable comments after the completion of the work.
