The Lunenburg Cutter –24 is a rugged little performer with big boat capabilities. She is built for cozy comfort and long distance blue water passages. The success of this design comes from the combination blue water knowledge with the unsurpassed metalworking expertise of Lunenburg Foundry.

The Lunenburg Cutter-24 should be a dream to sail in practically any wind. Her extra slippery hydrodynamic hull shape will put her miles ahead of her competition. The beamy hull makes the boat very stable as well as exceptionally roomy for her size. Her double head stay and bowsprit make sail selection a breeze. A slab reefing mainsail provide heavy weather performance. Her compact little cockpit provides good protection especially in heavy seas. A roomy rope locker under the cockpit sole provides a convenient place for a life raft.

The seamanship is up to you.

The ability to sleep 6 people comfortably in such a smart sailing boat puts the “Lunenburg Cutter – 24,” leagues ahead of the competition. Two quarter berths are located aft and a v-berth forward with the main cabin settees doubling for two more bunks. Stand-up headroom is provided below. The galley is to starboard with a stainless steel sink and gimbaled propane stove. Real wood is used to build the interior. Incredible storage space is provided throughout the interior in lockers, shelves and under the bunks. Water storage and holding tanks are also located under the bunks. The extra large forward hatch is designed to allow exceptional access as well as full upright seating from the forward bunk. There is a fold down centerline wood table as well as a full length-hanging locker for your wet gear. The “Lunenburg Cutter – 24” even has her own separate head to starboard, for privacy. Amazing comfort in such a small boat.

 

 

Auxiliary power is provided by an installed diesel sail drive, or an outboard option. Either way, the engine and fuel are both completely isolated from the living space. A special self-draining anchor storage locker is located on the foredeck to make anchoring easy.

Construction is by all welded marine grade aluminum. A long life should be assured while maintenance should be kept to a minimum. There are no openings through the hull to reduce the chance of leaks into the interior. With no bolt holes in the deck there should be no chance for leaks into the accommodations.

Exterior paint on the topsides is optional and colour selection is to owner’s preference.
